819 – Fall of Math | The Adventures of Dr. Triangle and Isosceles Ep 9
Fall of Math | The Adventures of Dr. Triangle and Isosceles Ep 9
-
Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, and friends beyond the binary, it's time for the podcaster. I'm trying to think of something to say, so I can fill your ears with lulls, but I'm glad I have the opportunity to because you support me, so I can keep it going. Thanks, patrons.
Hey, are you up all night, tossing, turning, mind racing, trouble getting to sleep, trouble staying asleep? Well, welcome. This is Sleep With Me, the podcast that puts you to sleep. We do as a bedtime story. All you need to do is get in bed, and turn out the lights, and press play. I'm going to do the rest.
Sorry, sometimes I get it mixed up. I want to make sure I have it right. What we're going to attempt to do is create a safe place, so nice, welcoming, safe place where you could set aside whatever's keeping you awake. If it's thinking, stuff you're thinking about, physical sensations, feelings, emotions, combination of those. That's what I sometimes have.
Even when I'm saying the intro, sometimes I have them, I say feu thoughts, yep, physical sensations related to those thoughts or maybe one or the other feelings about … that's the triumvirate maybe or triptych in my mind, in my gut and my heart I guess you could say. But it could be other stuff. It could just be travel, change in your routine. You could work a work schedule where you need a little help. I'm here to help with that too. Second, third shifters. People working on ships and trains and wherever else.
I'm here to help them with whatever it is. Even if it's just for one night. You're getting geared up for something coming up, or a test or whatever. I'm here. What I'm going to do is keep you company. I'm going to send my voice across the deep dark night. Like I said, I got this safe place, smooth, padded and rubbed down for you. I'm also going to use the lulling, soothing tones and pointless meanders. Superfluous tangents, holy cow, my tangents will be … they'll go just like that. They'll almost peter out where it'll slow down, and then I'll start to pick it up again.
One of those Manish superfluous with a bunch of other stuff. Mostly to take your mind off whatever's keeping you awake, so you can drift off. So if you're new, a few things to know right up front, I want to earn your trust. And you don't have to give it to me, right? You could hold on to it for sure. And to see how it goes. But a couple of things I've learned over doing this show for the 100 plus episodes we've done it for. One, I want you to know about the structure of the show. So show starts off with a few minutes of business. And that's how we're able to bring the podcast to everybody for free. So thanks for going through that.
Then there's an intro. The intro is around 12 to 15 minutes. And if you're new that might seem strange. Regular listeners, it's one of the balms that soothes them actually. It's B-A-L-M but at first you might say, “Wait a second. Intro that's 12 … most podcasts I listen to a 12 to 15 minutes.” It takes me about 12 to 15 minutes to warm, not warm up, that would be the wrong word. But really what the intro is an opportunity to ease you into bed time, introduce you to the podcast, show you how qualified I am. Despite my lack of qualifications, like how qualified I am to lose your attention.
You might even say I'm overqualified because I'll go after you say… well, let's go through what you see. This is what happened to me, son. You have an 80 page resume. It's only filler. You're describing… brushing your teeth is not a job skill. And I'd say really it's not. But it's part of getting along in a workplace skill, so I don't know where else you'd use it. And he'd say okay, let's move on to page 47 Then. What was my point? Oh, the intro is a bit like that.
It's where I explained what the podcast is, but it takes me 15 minutes because I want to ease you into bed time. Hang on, now I'm distracted by a tangent I could go on about a fake resume, not a fake resume, I have one Chad. So maybe we'll go back to that. Not a fake resume, a fictional. I made a fictional resume once. I'm not kidding. You probably heard. I mean, I think I talked about this for probably not in the last four or 500 episodes. But so the intro is to ease you into bed time. That's why it takes so long. Some listeners fall asleep into it. Some listeners get ready for bed listening to it. Some listeners listen during the day, 2% or 3% or so skip ahead 15 to 20 minutes and just start there.
And some some percentage of people fall asleep right away during the intro. So those are kind of see how it goes, see what you're saying, but the whole idea of the intro is to try to weave a metaphor about what the podcast is and how works and ends up looking a bit like my handwriting, which has been described in a neutral way as gobbledygook. And I said, How did you know that's exactly what I was writing? That was the word I got. My word on first try.
That was in one of my grade one of the grades in school where I got the old NI on the report card, needs improvement. So what was I going to say? So where was I? Oh, so the intro really is a fun time for me to help ease you into bed. Kinda like talking you in, in an indirect way.You know, poofing your pillow over. You want me to move that over the there? How about if I just swish out the sheets so you can see that. That switchity Switchity swoosh.
Okay. You want me to do that? Okay, well how about this? You want me to get to later, I'll put some water in that plant for you too. Oh, that's not a plant well then I'll take care of it. Consider it done. Here let me just pull one of these tissues out for your… so it's like just halfway out for your convenience. There you go. So that's the intro then there'll be some business then there's a bedtime story. Tonight, it'll be our episodic series. The adventures of doctor triangle and Isosolese, which is a good… They're independent stories. I Explain everything at the beginning of every episode.
So if you like if you like the intros, you see this one you get two introductions for the price of one which is price of zero because you get the intro to the show. And then the intro to the doctor triangle and Isosolese, which is different than a podcast intro, but it's still kind of the same idea. Just try to recap everything, who they are. Who, what, where, why, when and how kind of stuff. So that's the bedtime story. That's the structure of the show. The reason I make the show is because I want to take your mind off stuff and help you fall asleep. I believe you truly do deserve a good night sleep. This is a podcast, You don't really need to listen to. You can kind of listen as you get used to it, you say, “Well I totally listen until I fall asleep or I only half listen or I turn it way down. I fall asleep as soon as I hear you. I don't understand what you're talking about but I kind of do.
There is also no pressure to fall asleep because some of you are listening for companionship in the deep dark night. And I'm here to keep you company until the very end so don't worry. I'm here and you can back episode after episode if you need it. Because I'm here to help with that. Now what qualifies me to do any of this. Well, I've been there in the deep dark night I know how it feels. Two, well back when I was just getting ready to enter the job market, which I didn't end up doing actually. I ended up volunteering. After I graduated, but for a year. When we was doing that , a lot of my … I think I was supposed to be working on a resume and some of my roommates had… five roommates, they were all working on resumes.
Some of the may have already had jobs even. I said to myself. I remember sitting down, We were having a party. I said, “let's have a resume party, that'll be fun. You can only come in if you have a resume. I don't know why I thought of that, but I thought it would be cool. So then I decided to write my own fictional resume. This is just how I was kind of wired. I do better with fictional accolades and accomplishments. This was the he kirtle group, podcast grew in many years before it happened.
Some of you are probably wondering, what was on my resume. I can only remember a couple of them. They weren't as advance level puns as I do in this podcast. Also I get them mixed up because I did fictionalize some other accomplishments and then send them in to my alumni like magazine as , hey, this is something I accomplished.” But I know there was one they had ice cream parlor called utter delight. Guess they thought that that was a good one . So I said I worked there. To my knowledge there probably is one called utter delight. It would funny if it was a nondairy. It would be would better if it was nondairy because then then you'd be like, “Okay, that was a real pun”. But like I said, at the time one percent of purchases go to bagbomb.
Kind of just be able to just be cows instead of having to do the other stuff. So that was one, utter delight. Then I started to get mixed up, when I fictionalized certain parts of my history. I know there was one where I pretended I had sword fishing business, called, I can't remember why it was called Salmon Rye. Instead of Hammond rye, it was salmon rye. Maybe because it was like in Rye, New York. I don't know why or it was in a sandwich, sword fishing. I can't remember. There was another good one though.
At one time I told my Alumni magazine that I had one a name. There was a new pizza chain and I'd said I'd won. That was the pizza I named and said I'd won. Of course, they probably called and checked. I was a great pizza name I guess. They said, “oh yeah, it was salmon rye pizza dough with smoked salmon. So that one didn't fly either. But there was a couple of other things on the resume up there. And people… I'm not bragging but people loved it. Everybody wanted to make a copy of it. Those people that already had jobs. They were like, ” let me take your resume to work.” Then I saw, because I had my real name and everything on there. So, I destroyed the resume. Because they said, I don't want people to actually think this is my resume.
Who knew I would build a career off of a fictional resume. It's true though, I wonder elsewhere I said I'd work. This is interesting though, I think it was like some sort of shepard business. That was another thing. That was for the alumni directory. That might actually made it in there because it was a third party company. Sometimes I think this is not something to be proud of either.I feel like a chump from Goonies. Wonder what the name of that was. I have to look in my alumni. I think I bought a copy because it was one when they try to sell you the hard copy if you get in the alumni directory. If those, who's who professional journals never charge. I probably would have got into one of those.
Yeah, one time I told the person when they called for the alumni directory that I was a working Shepard, which is really nothing to be proud of because there are working shepard out there. Because I had pun-based names, I thought that mad it okay. Though I can't remember for the life of me. It probably was like a [inaudible 00:55:55] they hold up. That was a long pun. Oh boy. Anyway, let me get back. So basically this a podcast you don't need to listen to. I'm qualified to take your mind off of stuff because I've been there and I'd like to help. Now podcast does not work for everybody. So give it a try, see if it works for you. I hope it does. My main message is thanks so much for checking this show out. For giving me your time. I worked very hard. I really do yearn and strive because I want to help you fall asleep, Here's a couple of ways we're able to keep this podcast free for everybody.
All right everybody welcome to another episode of our episodically modular series of the adventures of Doctor Triangle and Isosolese. It does come with a hint of seriality but you can listen in any order that's what episodically modular means because I'm going to catch you up right now. The bedtime stories is set up in a bedtimes story format so it will slow down even more. If the his is your first episode you're in good shape.and if you say I listened to… this is seven, then two, then this one. I say no problem, ill catch you right up.
This I believe is episode nine. So again like I said those are just numbers. Episode numbers are just numbers in this case, except for the last one, 10. But still, You can listen to it in any order. I tried reading a [inaudible 00:11:09] excerpt when I was a librarian, I read that Terry Brink
sent the book sent the book in the wizard truth series I believe, the sword of truth. Then I went back, I don't know what that has to do with that. Sorry Terry, by the way, I don't know if I was susposed to do that. Okay, so where was I? I was saying oh so welcome to our series of dr triangle and Isosceles. SO this is a tell of dr triangle and Isosceles. Two traveling performers who live in a world without math. A world with greatly reduced math and math principles. Once it was a world pretty much like ours. Pretty much our world. And then there was a waning belief , there was a combination of things. A waning belief and respect for math, which seems pretty far fetched Of course.
Not like a general, loose math, this is like… so you say, “is it just humans being humans and I say , Well in this case, that's where there was more than one thing happening. SO in the populace of planet earth, particularly in the U.S.A. where I live in this fictional story. People said, well you know math, [inaudible 00:17:36] more and more but not everybody. But probably, Plur et whatever the one, I don't know if it plurality or majority. What is a group of pullulates called? That's more suited for this intro but I'm just curious.whats the word when everybody is trying to agree, consensus. I don't know if there is a consensus on math.
But there was also outside forces that work outside of some people's belief system even. But if you watch big screens movies, the goddess can come to earth or send her powers to Earth. The goddess, Concordia, who is ant-math. She wants to rid the earth of all math and that's her plan. That's what she's been up to. First, subtly in then more actively . But ofcourse there's a counter balance. In this story , we're in this historical recounting. Its another Goddess, that Shashaat, who believes in math and the basis of things.
What we've found is that once you get rid of math you pretty much are living in a … you still retain all the knowledge because you say, okay who boot that up for me? You can look that up in book but if we got rid of card catalogs . its just a bunch of books now. They say didn't someone preserve the card catalog downstairs in an archive. Yeah but the archives were in something climate controlled. Those were……so the climate was no longer controlled so we don't have. Wasn't even a Dewey decimal system. Well actually, if I can remember , if I could cipher the Dewey decimal system , we would have it memorized when I went to library school.
This is a fictional character by the way, you know I'd be able to point you in the right section but I can't remember. There's all these numbers there. Can't make any since of it it all. So a world without math is a bit like the middle ages. So you say, “well we got some basic concepts here or a low math world. SO that a world. Who are we talking about. Doctor triangle , and dr Isosceles. Once traveling performers who's former performance was math parody. They actually capitalizing on anti math sentiment and they were traveling performers , traveling in a wagon with their mule, Aida. They're putting on shows , making fun of math lovers or math appreciators. Which I consider myself a math appreciator and respecter.
Though I tell you what, as soon as you get rid of my electrons I become math lover. [inaudible 00:20:46] you know. But then that was before the story started. Once the story started they were recruited by the goddess, Shashaat. She said to them, I'm looking for two heroic figures to restore the principles of math in the world and I have these magic charm bracelets. If you figure out what principles missing… geographically different principles are missing. That's the procedural part. SO they go to different areas, mostly the United States, bigger than the United States because we've gotten as far as Nevada, and back far East as some place. Yo go there and you say …okay it wouldn't be this simple but you say multiplication. That might be too big for this two earth people to solve.
But they give it charms and say multiplication or the at symbol or whatever. And the would go off the power of the goddess, Shashaat to restore that principle. Then it would be restored. So a lot of times… its the kind of thing , you kind of sort of go back like, “how come this well's dry?” Water ran out…oh okay. You sure we can't use math to fix this. Maybe they would look into it. Maybe it would be math based. Maybe the water really ran out . That's not an episode but I prob could have done one about that. This is a little too sleepy. So basically Doctor triangle and Isosceles are traveling the old former us trying to restore math one principle at a time. This is another episode. Also, the story is narrated by their mule, Aida . I'm trying to think any other stuff you need to know.
They're heroic figures, you know once they were … they do have their own motivation ofcourse. So that's it. So that's it and I do also have a Hollywood very famous actor, thespian to set up…introduce the episode, Mr Antonio Band eras. So ladies and gentleman, boy and girls [inaudible 00:23:21] … in a world without math, what does 1+1=. The adventures of Doctor Triangle and Isosceles. That was pretty good. Also read it, loved it…Hello My friend. Great Job. Very good. So this is Mr Antonio Band eras. He's going to go live from my bedroom by my bed because I record in the closes by my bedroom. And he drives up from la just to do this whatever that took and then lies down for rest.
Then after I'm done recording. If he's behaved in that, moved or breathed out. One time he sat… If you want to hear a God-like sigh, it's probably not the most convenient time when I'm trying to record a podcast. No offense Antonio but holy cow. One time he sighed and then I went out. I say, “what's going on.” That was private time but also I thought I said shoes off. Not important but some people forget and some people sigh. I mean I don't have a God-like sigh. Mine is more like some creature that's close to the ground sigh. The sigh of turtle I've been told. I've been thinking of some sort of, but anyways. Antonio is just chuckling. Were going to play a colored koolaid.
So this is Antonio Band eras, and this the adventures of Doctor Triangle and Isosolese. I'm going to turn it over to Aida. So We're in a boat. I guess it is a skiff. It looks like it's a former row boat or… I think they're called drift boats. We're on a boat. We do have on of those things you have ina skiff. I think they're called a skiffing stick and we're slowly moving. So the water we're in is moving. We are under the earth, I'm trying to fill in on individual stories. We had gone into the Earth out of a steam town. Where there was a lot of steam in the town that had ceased. We found our way to these cities in under gourd tunnels that were human made and very advance for us. I guess before the fall of math and the changing for the offs to whatever they were going to call them.
They had developed these channels because they had that boar company. So giant tunnels under the Earth is what I'm telling you. This one had been slowly going down a little bit at a time. Barely a downward grade, but very slow. We were on a train, a small train for a little while and we were going on train tracks. We noticed very quickly we had started… there was some dampness in there because of the aqua-ford that was there. I don't know if they'd told you this in the last story, but I guess that would have been my job. But there was this very deep aqua-ford that they'd discover like a fresh water a gigantic aqua ford. In the dessert western-central United States.
It ended up these tunnels were attached to an Aqua ford. So very quickly our train tracks went to the side of the tunnel. And then the bottom of the tunnel was a flowing river. Not very fast but not too slow either. Like I said, a slow grade downward. So it fit like a canal and we were on the side of the canal in our train car. We're moving along and because we were able to go at a reasonable pace, I don't know how far we traveled. Then we switched over to a boat. As we was doing that, just recently, we started to encounter these valves. You've probably seen them in your movies and things. You turn a giant wheel clockwise or counter-clockwise. To open or close the valve. At first we were ignoring them. They were signs on them, but we were like, we don't even know what we're doing here, but then when the train stopped with the boat, It said stop at every valve and there would be this thing to stop the boat, not completely you'd just push it down and then the boat could go on.
It actually worked out great for when we're sleep… because the water is still moving , there's electrical gent water wheels generating electricity from lighting in here. So we stopped, and there these big red signs. Now the problem was that the none of the signs were very readable. They're valves and then there's gauges in the valves. Doctor Triangle and Isosolese have been trying to figure out what these valves mean because the first ones were just grain. It was very simple. They turned each one. They were Green with arrows, and then it was clear that there was a gauge, and once they were turned… I guess I should let them describe. They're debating right now bout it. I thought I'd thought of a joke about tell a tale of tails but I can't think of it now.
So, they're trying to debate because now it's gotten more complicated instead of just green arrows. So, let me just turn it over to Doctor Triangle. Okay. You're saying these are words written in reverse. I can't read them. I don't why we're wouldn't have a mirror. I know we had to leave a lot of our stuff behind. The waters appear and we tried to look in the water to see a reverse but the water is rippling too much. Then if we tried the read it backwards, you're saying you can't make sense of it?
No, Isosolese , I'm saying I can. I guess I was trying to explain to you, it's like an S-T-O-P- but the letters are also reversed or there was one H-A-L-F. The it's split, there's like a mirror image. It's a little bit different then reversed. Okay. That's why I said okay, let's just turn this one, and then clockwise and counter-clockwise. Okay. That's where I was getting mixed up, I thought it was susposed to be reversed. Are you sure this isn't Russian? I remember saying that earlier. No, it's not in surrealic, it's an mirror image and it's just a matter of… what's weird is I've been having trouble… I'm just able… there's some part of me that can recognize those words.
But I did try, when we were working side -by… it is frustrating. So I'm not trying to subtly say… I'm saying there something interesting at work here. SO it's just confusing, because mostly been down here, we've been going in this boat . I've got no idea… we're under the Earth somewhere. It feels like we've been at it for two weeks or something. And without any math, it's impossible to know where we are. You're right abour that. So here's the situation, we have this canal, we're going in the water, the water's going somewhere. Then we have lights on the side of the roof of this thing.
I banged on the pipes and they seem hollow. Then we're susposed to open some of these valves but simple things will not open them based on simple reversed directions. That at first was just open. I get to open one, oh green means go. That's why I could understand, but now these are a little more nuance like you're saying a half or whatever. Right and then trying to read the gauges. It's not easy, but what do I think, that's what you're asking. So here's thing, we disembarked at a town full of steam engines, correct? Yes. And a giant Aqua ford, and I guess that oasis we left, was meant to just be a nice place for people to live in, it would be self contained. That's what we were thinking originally. We were out in the middle of nowhere. No one could get there in bug you. Right but now what I'm thinking is it was more of a test ground.
That aqua ford seems to be humongous in supplying all that water. So there's all this water flowing in some direction but then there's these pipes. The pipes I believe are to carry steam and air. Which, yes, are two different things. There's steam is air with water vapor, probably pressurized. And I think this other side, which is like the air that allows it to flow ..I don't know… I can't quite put my finger on it. So we have water for potential for steam. Then Air intake and steam outtake is what I'm suspecting but I guess I'm a little confused too. I think we'll have to just keep proceeding and eventually we'll get somewhere. But we'll be going somewhere, where the water will be getting steamed.
Eventually, but there's no steam in there now. SO, its not related to the town we're was in because it would be to much water. Don't you think this some kind of cold war relic or something like that? I don't know, I think we should just bed down for the night. Right Aida? Aida's looking at us longingly. So let's just lie down. We'll take a break and then we'll take the boat and we'll just keep going. You keep opening until he sings and then trying to follow directions. Hopefully they don't get any more complicated. Okay hey everyone this is Aida. So we've slept for a while then we went on the boats. Then we continued.
It was for a few days, to be honest it felt like a few thousand years with these two. There was more valve turning and stuff but the directions never got more complicated than three quarters and one quarter that turn clockwise and counter-clockwise. Unless there was other stuff but I said unless because I think that had to do with the gauges. Then Doctor Triangle said well only if it's functional, that's when it would matter. These would be regularly checked so that was a little bit confusing so where was we ? So then we kept going and now we've arrived. Also, The temperature was getting warmer and eventually though we arrived. Now the water kept continuing, and the slope started to drop. It changed to waterfalls after the boat stopped.
We had a nice area to stop, to get out and now we've entered an underground control facility and it has bunks. Its a very modern, verY nice…. Here's a couple of things. SO this place is so well kept and so nice. Why do you think that is? I don't know, I think that it's good government planning. I mean, that's sounds funny but I think they must have been planning for the fall math. SO explain to me again what you think this place is for? Pk I'm pretty sure this a geothermal steam plant, on of the biggest ones in a recovery plant too which is the interesting part. The recover of what?
Recovery of water vapor. So probably we're still pretty far off. There is an area of seismic activity of L-A-V-A. The Earth's crust is open. It's definitely close enough to warm this facility and it would probably have to be pretty close. They must have some way where that this water is eventually flowing there and being recovered. I think probably there is another aqua ford. This is just my guess because we started the water flowing. You would want to be able to control the flow of the water, so that you aren't losing any when the plants' not functioning. And I'm just guessing this is a very large… it may just be used to power som other facility related to this building. Okay, should I be looking through stuff to find stuff? Yeah, I think so. see what you can dig up.
Go through people's lockers and stuff like that or the offices down the hall. I'm going to try to figure out getting things operational because what I was saying was that event the water will turn to steam and the steam will be captured in dry turbines to generate power. Then water vapor as it cools will be captured for drinking as distilled water and then maybe returned to the original… I don't know if it gets returned to the aqua ford or what's the best use… or maybe it gets released to the air. Maybe it does. Maybe there's a surface portion of this facility. Okay that's all barely interesting to me, so what should I be looking for? I guess looking for anything, like bigger plants. so we can figure out what we're doing here or… I can't make any sense of this. So its like whatever… I think this is all in code. That's what I was thinking with the mirror images.
Everything here is not written American English, it's not in sureallic, so I have no idea. I can't make any sense of the control panels. But everything seems pretty well preserved and ready to go. Yeah, I think everything was just sealed here. They had a plan, they were waiting on someone to come operate it. It seems they were all structured in a way that it's a two person operations so we would be able to get everything up and running if I could just make sense of the codes. Do you think that was to keep people from messing with…yeah, That's just… or government planning I guess. So we need to crack this code and figure out where everything is running , where can we plug in? Am I right? Do you think the power would work? Well that's another question?
I do have another suspicion, there's more thing I've been noticing on the way here that's been math related like the lights worked. So maybe this is some sort of low math impact zone. Maybe all math goes, we just happen to be in a pocket of full math dom or something. So I think what we should do is, you go look and I'll get to work here trying to figure out these controls. How does that sound to you? Does that sound [inaudible 00:42:06] Hey everybody, Aida here. So Doctor Triangle and Isosolese separate for a little bit. It ended up being more than a little bit. Basically, eventually, I just wanted to skip that part because nothing really happened. A lot of walking around. Isosolese going into offices, sitting in desks, spinning around in office chair looking through… rifling… trying to find… then forgetting why Isosolese was there.
Then pretending to call people in, like it was play acting basically, saying,” come on in, I wanted to discuss these demerits with you.” Then eventually Doctor Triangle found Isosolese and says can you give me an update on what you…. have you found any plans? How much power is this plant going to generate? Where is the steam going… everything. Eventually they collaborate again , which was probably the mistake to split and work on the code and then the searching and what they found with a little more looking… again, I'm just a mule, so I don't know if this is exact terminology. But a geothermal steam plant would be like a soft shell, for this is a plant that used… the Earth… it had to be a place where the crust… the new intersection actually . so you might say I'm not familiar with a tectonic plate in that area.
But an area with of high geothermal activity and like a lot of it. So basically there's like a giant area nestled between two mountain ranges that this plane is nearby that it's designed to bring power, clean water. Heat from the… really efficient. No fossil fuels, and a lot of it, you actually [inaudible 00:44:38] to the steam boat thing before. Because a lot of is not just electricity, but a lot of it is directed steam power conveniences. And there is some inhabitable areas. So this was, to the best of my knowledge, some sort of pre involved math program to say oh okay, “if everything doesn't go great… I don't know if they knew about it involved math or maybe that was on their chart of possible thing that might not work out so great.
They said well, we have this mountain base, actually we're have this undiscovered acropher in the desert ,you can do crust earth. Also we've crusted up a lot of the Earth with the F-R-A-C-K-I-N-G so the dual thing about this is that it would actually further the cracks in the far outlined areas. So this will become like a self contained, possibly self contained Utopia. If it was to work out. There was a place to recover for two or three generations. I said, “holy cow, these human,” and not juts for a a few more than a selected few just for the people with connections now you would be geographic limited. They were planning, they had room for everybody that could probably get there unless it was slow., the decline of math. They didn't perceive that. So , I wonder what… maybe Doctor , Triangle and Isosolese … so If they figured out this is great. This is huge.
I mean of all the communities they visited. They can benefit from this. A lot of them would actually be within a new Earth crusted zone. So some sense, it would be separated from they affiliated states on one side and then and then whatever is going on in the west, which is not so great either. So really getting the plant up and running, to get the water into they… this is a big deal. Let me turn it back over to them because they're trying to figure out… oh okay, I guess I'm talking. I'm excited I guess. This sounds straight even for me. So, we've tried mirrors, we've tried writing things out and I think it's because we want it.
You know when you want something, sometime, you push away. I guess that's what I'm trying to say. We're not seeing the whole picture of something. I mean because it's just so exciting. This fixes everything. There's room for me to have privacy and even relocate my things. But even the communities we visited could benefit from this or they can relocate here. So we probably need some of those services they could offer but this could become like a new, smaller… this could become its own math zone. Maybe, I don't know. This could work really great.
Do you think this is why we're here, this is our purpose? We were driving to this the whole time? Now, we just have to figure out this code. I guess that's why it's so hard to get this down because this is why we're here. This is what Shasaat must have wanted. Yeah I mean, I guess because we'd meet all those other communities, so restoring math in those communities would be key through a supply chain, which we are already putting in place. But this could be a most Urban area, like this could be a real city eventually . So it's already big enough for a city, even in this valley, it's quite large. It's exciting, I think this is what we've been building for. Why am I trying to figure out a code I it's just math.
Holy Mackerel , what don't you mean? What I'm thinking is this is just another math problem? This is just another missing math principle. I was trying to figure it out like wit was a code. Okay so we have to figure out the math to decode it. No, I think it's a very simple solution actually. Did you notice that? A lot of the solution have been… everybody blames math for over complicating things, it really simplifies it. I don't know, you may be a little biased because of your experience, go ahead and tell me more. So, what I'm just saying I don't think it's a code, I think it's just a missing principle and our eyes are blind.
We're can't see they truth because the math principle doesn't exist. So it's not something we're could ever decode without the principle of math. There's a underline principle that's missing. So, which one would it be. Okay well I think its a mirror image, I think its like transformations, reflections, and translations. Also reflections… some other principles… oh rotations. You can still use your math for the different steam channels, the plumbing you call it. This reminds of a game I used to play on my computer.
On the computer only, before devices. We're had only access to an older device. Computer, and it was like that water thing , but it was just plumbing, it was a simpler thing then but yeah it reminded me of it. Turning the… oh so the water can go flow. I think in my case, it was not water it was green stuff. Okay, that's fascinating so where does that lead us? Great question… with math principles. So they math principles are reflections, Rotations, translation or transformation. I have a mirror here. I'm at a train right now. They're two versions of they same triangle.
Oh wow I have two other versions of that same triangle. What if they're all they same triangles just hung from the charm bracelet in different places? They're actually different triangles because they're different charms. Oh yeah and I also have a grid. So you're ready? Shasaat if you can hear us in all your wisdom and glory. Please see fit to restore the mathematic principles, the transformation, the translation, reflection, and rotations. Please restore them. We ask you this in humbleness to your wisdom Shasaat. So that we may serve and math may… we're here to serve math Thank you Shasaat, please restore those principles. Okay, so now what? Now is they easy part.
So now there is a code but if we can hold up a mirror to some of them. I mean we'll have to decode things. Its just not going to be hard anymore because it's a simple code. It's either reflection, rotation, or it might be translation which is like moving a shape around but it stays the same. Well let's get started then. Well I think we're should take a rest. Okay let's take a rest and then… you're right, this si so exciting. Also I have to recommend this, I know there's like a sleeping quarters that we're being staying in but they offices are quite fun. There's someone's office, they're name is not Chicago or Zhivago, it's Zhivago and I'd like to have that office as mine.
Okay that's fine. Are you going to sleep in the office? Is there snacks in there, is that why? Yeah, actually there's a mirror in there and I was wondering because I felt like something was off. Now that reflections are restored, I should have mention that too. Let's just start because I notice these lights are starting to light up. Let's take a rest because you're right, now I'm ready to go to my office and pretend I'm Doctor Chicago. Okay, that's fine. I'm going to go to sleep of course, I'll see you in a little while, tomorrow I guess. Hey everyone Aida here. So they rested and then they went to work and again this part is like… I just wanted to skip it.
Because there was some codes that were mirror codes. You held up a mirror, which they were able to find more than one mirror because it was office environment. Then they slowly restored things, then they slowly got things going which triggered the water to start flowing, steam to start building up. It was amazing that it was a mostly automated plant, but again they kept being surprise that everything was ready to go as far as upkeep and maintenance since it seemed like no one had been there. They were, “how don't we know? “it was strange.
So they got everything going… I tease a little to much, I mean this is Adda.if they knew that I was… guess it's not my job. My job's not to… but so they got everything running. The steam going and the power. A lot of it was potential. So just building up the steam, getting the turbines going. So they're getting very excited, it's going to take them a couple of days of decoding things to get it going and switching stuff like that. We're dressing as Doctor , Chicago. Okay, I'll turn it over. Well Doctor Triangle, you don't need to call me doctor any more because it looks like our work is almost done.
There's just this one… does this mean that it's redirecting actual lava to somewhere. I don't understand what those [inaudible 00:58:11] are doing. So it does say, maybe we observe it because it says that it's viewable through one of the telescopes up on the roof. There's a pause in your voice, so what are you saying? Well I mean our work is really not done because we'll have to get a hold of your sister. I'll have to get all of my supplies. So that's in a few months. She'll have to spread the word. I'm just wondering why haven't heard from shasaat. I get the sense like , I don't know… well let's do while we walk to the roof to observe there's lava flowing. It's a powerful up on the telescope on the root it says and that one guide and about 40 miles out, this telescope can view. It says it's an lava accelerator which I've never heard of.
Okay, well what were you… well I just feel like I think… I get the sense that it's a shot and they story has made some kind of arrangement and we were just pawns in the game. I'm not following. Okay but don't you think this has worked out a little bit too well because… so now basically there's two or three isolated geographic areas. One that has no math , so very low math. Eastern affiliated states or whatever it's called. Then they west that we don't know anything about except there's no low math there. This portion of they West, to somewhat of the Midwest but accessible because all that drilling and pumping… like a lot of that Aquaphor I think, they had prepared for it.
Anyway, it seems like maybe they have worked a deal. Is something wrong with that though because I know math … well all those peopled being deprived of math, one and then two I just didn't like being not told that. See, here is the telescope. It does look like there is a bright light. It looks like there is lave flowing into… it's piling up or something. It's beautiful, it's piling up though. It looks like … it's weird… you remember tree beard? You've talked about tree beard before or maybe I have. Yeah I'm affiliated with tree beard.
It looks like they legs of a… is that a speaker there? It seems like it's fuzzy, can you hit that? Let me hit the squelch. Turn up they volume. Its talking. You're Discordia coming through a speaker, you're laughing at us. So it's Discordia laughing , I did say… followed all of the plans. Well you've been listening in on us and you think it's very funny. That's you, wait a second, oh boy. What is it? Let me just finish listening than I'll explain it to you. Are you sure you didn't reach a compromise with Shashaat? This will also become a nomad.
Well, you need this. So, you can't have chaos everywhere, I see. So this will be the balance point for your chaos . You can't have a lot of luxury with chaos, I hear that. Oh so basically we set up the whole supply chain for your… so you've been pretending to Shashaat they whole time? What is okay? Just turn that speaker off. Okay what happened? Well, it's not good and I think we're going to have a little [inaudible 01:03:20], a little faith… so basically, I can't believe it though. I can't believe it. Are you telling me you believed in then you lost your belief but you're reclaiming your belief.
I guess apparently I have. I've started to hope or something because according to Discordia, which she said it right over the speaker. I'm surprised you didn't hear it but this is her plan all along. The reason the base was so well kept is because her people have been keeping it up. They had everything greased and lubed and ready to go. They only thing they couldn't don't is undo they math puzzle. So they knew Discordia needs math but only in a dictatorial way so basically this will be… it won't be for the people, it will like we imagined. It would be only for the point zero to zero percent. That's not they worst part though. Tell what the worst part is. So normally I say well maybe we can figure something out.
We don't want her dictating or controlling the one math based that will actually have power, not quite back to the pre fall days but… just like in our place, it was pretty cool. I was looking forward to having a steam bath, and whatever I invented… I don't think I'm the best inventor but inventing steam based inventions, steam convenience is so I was looking forward to getting my sister and the rest of my family. That's not going to be an option. So, Dicordia played us and has played us the whole time. I don't know. I think that's what Discordia wants us to believe. That there is no Shashaat, or there never was but that's not possible either because we're believe. Anyway, that's why I turned the speaker off even though Discordia is still listening but what was the other thing you said was not good.
Basically, Shashaat and Discordia hadn't been able to have corporal bodies, you know when they favorite corporal body, especially like a Discordian type God or Goddess. Its a very popular body. That's a popular look for them. So we're just started that, like when we started the steam plant. It looks like one of the measures they had planned for protection was some sort of… I don't know , they altered the machine, they lava accelerator. How can you accelerate, I don't know, part of is magic. I mean, she is a Goddess. The reason not 100 % of math was gone was because Discordia's going to be a resident of Earth.
That's not good either, that means… that not only are we actually and spiritually in a bit of a pickle, we're actually in a pickle too because once she has a corporal body, she'll give us a visit. That's pretty unlimited power, not to mention telling other humans… oh boy, so what are we going to do? I think we should rest because we worked very hard to get everything up and running and behind my calculations because we're in a no math zone now. It's going to be about 86 hours. So even though that seems like short or long, it's just enough time for us to get a good rest and then work on a plan tomorrow.
I have to still believe that Shasaat didn't put us in this situation. Doctor Triangle, I thought you were a actor playing a person of science. I realize you're a performer. I believe in math, I do. So again, let's get rest and then we'll figure it… hey Ada. Ada's waiting at the bottom of the ladder for us. We're going to get some rest. It was good seeing you. Okay yeah, let me pat your head. Everything is going to be okay. Its going to work out great. I'll sing you to sleep, goodnight Ada. Goodnight Doctor Zhivago. Goodnight Doctor Triangle.
